COMPETITION

Here's a puzzle competition for you this week, boys and girls. Sixteen objects are shown. When you have named them all, you will see that the same letters are used to form some of the names, although, of course, the letters are not in the same order. For instance, there is a pat of butter and also a tap.

Can you name the others and place them in pairs? Write on a sheet of paper like this: pat, tap—add your name, age and address, and send to Peter Pan, c/o Star Office, Shortland Street, Auckland, to reach this office by Monday, August 3. Three half-crown prizes will be awarded for the neatest correct or most nearly correct entries. Merit certificates will be sent out as consolation prizes. This competition is open to all boys and girls under 18 years of age. The Editor's decision will be final.
