SAUSAGE FRITTERS

lib sausages, 4oz self-raising flour, 1 teaspoon custard powder, i cup milk, salt and pepper, 4oz bacon. Put the sausages to simmer in hot water for ten minutes, drain and set aside to cool. Make a batter of the other ingredients. Split the sausages lengthwise, dip in batter and fry until brown. Cut the bacon into four-inch lengths, roll up looselv and thread on skewers. Grill untfl crisp and the fat is clear. Arrange round the fritters and serve with tomato sauce.
