Limits were fairly rigid on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, and while several
issues were close to business, the turnover was light. In the banking group supplies were short, and offers for New Zealands were raised to £1 IS/ 6 , Y» II J sellers asking £1 10/. Gilt-edged support was strong, and buyers of 3 per cent War Loan maturing in 1951-54 moved up to onlv 5/ below par. Liberty Loan (3 per cent) was in demand at yesterdays sale price.
