NORTHCOTE SHELTER

The Auckland Harbour Board, as the result of representations, has decided to provide some protection on the Northcote wharf to shield the public from wind and rain. Nothing elaborate had been asked for, said a report to the board yesterday, it being considered that a fence down the middle of the wharf would meet the case, and the removal of the waitingsj*oom from its present position to-the end of the wharf. The board decided that the request be complied with and that the engineer s suggestion that shelter be provided adjacent to the berth be approved.
