CABCE ECONOMY URGED

(0.C.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. An appeal to commercial houses to avoid unnecessary use of the cable services is contained in a letter received by the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand from the Navy Office, Wellington. The letter points out that the loss of certain important cable stations in the tar kast and increased official correspondence involved a very heavy strain on remaining facilities. The Associated Chambers, in compliance with the request, have circularised the constituent bodies passing on the letter for notification to individual members.
