A Press Association message from the capital states that there will be no short shooting season for native game. The Prime Minister has advised Mr. E. J. C. Wiffin. secretary of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society to this effect.

The matter cropped up on a petition from 3500 sportsmen of Wellington and the South Island, seeking a short season for shooting native game.
