CHEAPER EGGS
Owing to an improvement in the supply position, eggs were cheaper by 3d a dozen as from this morning. The new wholesale rates, with retail prices in parentheses, are:—Large hen. 2/11*2 (3/3); standard, 210 1 2 (3/2); medium, 2/BV2 (3/); pullet, 2.0*2 <2'3 , 2); large duck, 2/B*2 (3/); medium, 2/6*2 (2/10); small, 2/3 l / 2 (2/6^).
