TOOK ODDS IN AIR FIGHT

Special Australian Correspondent. Rec. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, this day. The United States Army Air Corps awards for gallantry in the Southwest Pacific which have just beer announced include Captain William Hennon, of Minnesota, who receive' the Silver Star for taking odds ol 17 to one in an air fight againsl the Japanese. He was opposec singly to 17 enemy heavy bombers and shot down one bomber and dam aged several others.
