AIR ACE'S ROMANCE

FILIPINO AND CHINESE Rec. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, this day. Captain Jesus Villamor, a twicedecorated Filipino ace of the United States Air Corps, has become engaged to Miss Joyce Loon, daughter of a Sydney Chinese merchant. Captain Villamor saw her photograph two years ago in an illustrated paper and thought enough of her to cut out the photograph and keep it. He met the girl in Sydney and became engaged after four weeks' courtship. Captain Villamor holds the D.S.C. and oakleaf cluster which, next to the Congressional Medal of Honour, is the highest United States decoration.
