NEW SERVICES CLUB

TO BE OPENED ON MONDAY The official opening of the Labour Club rooms, in Pacific Building, as a centre to provide social facilities for members of the armed forces and merchant navy, will take place on Monday evening. The opening ceremony will be performed by the president of the Auckland Trades Council, Mr. F. Craig, and the president of the Labour Representation Committee, Mr. W. J. Cuthbert. The Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, will attend.

The club rooms are spacious, with two large lounges, a dance floor and billiard room, and provision is made for table tennis and other indoor games. Women members of the Labour movement will control a cafeteria, seating about fifty men.
