FIRES IN HOTELS

IXCEXDIARY AT WORK Special Australian Correspondent. Rec. 2 p.m. MELBOURNE, this day. A firebug tried to burn down four city hotels. He started 12 fires in rooms on upper floors. All the fires were extinguished before they spread. About the time the fourth series of fires were discovered a man telephoned the fire brigade and asked: "How are the fires going in the hotels?" The police believe he was the man responsible for the fires.
