Honours For New Zealanders In Britain COMMISSION GRANTED Special Correspondent. Rec. noon. LONDON, July 16. The King invested Sub-Lieutenant J. G. Mac Donald, R.N.Z.N.V.R., of Wellington, with the D.S.C. at Buckingham Palace. Sub-Lieutenant MacDonald, who is commanding a motor gunboat, has seen several actions in the Channel. Temporary commissioned sub-lieut-enants are R. A. Johnson, of Otaio, K T I Chute, of Tikokini, and also B G. W. Clinton, R. L. Harding, N. Watson and N. Donkin, of the Fleet Air Arm. Pilot-Officer M. Baigent, who is only 191, is now captain of a Stirling heavy bomber and has carried out several raids over Germany, including two on Bremen.
