PROTECTIVE FOODS
For some time now I have read or several changes which are taking place in Britain during the present war period. One of these chances is the definite improvement in the general health of the people there, yvhich is due to food reform, rosui'mg from food rationing. Tin-v are getting their protective foods with the enforced wholemeal b:vads. ?. ur f ■>' such a change here in N'c.v would be welcomed. Cannot our Government insist on tlie same steps being enforced—that is, t we have none other than whole£l*l or wheat germ breads maile tvfiw; • L a v , the whole grains take thf place in our diet, as tney did in our grandmothers' dav. modern housewife.
