Notice is hereby given that the Auckland Hospital Board proposes at its Meeting to be held on the 24th day of AUGUST, 1942. to consider a Motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its Sanction to the Borrowing of the Sum of £250.000. for the purpose of Providing for the Completion of the New Infirmary Block and Additional Services, and for Providing Additional Land. Accommodation and Equipment for Nursing Staff, and Additional Store, Kitchen, Mortuary, Laundry and Boiler House Accommodation, Equipment and Facilities at the Auckland Infirmary and for Additional Boiler House Accommodation and Equipment at the Auckland Hospital, and for the Purchase and Installation of Equipment Providing Additional Laundry Services for the Board's Institutions. The Annual Charges on the Loan amounting to approximately £15,168 shall be met from the revenues of the Auckland Hospital Board by Levy £ 7379 being approximately .017 d in the £ on the Capital Value and Government Subsidy £7789. ANY PERSON HAVING ANY OBJECTION to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Auckland Hospital Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting. At a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council held on the 13th day of July, 1942, It was resolved: — No person shall load or carry on any vehicle cans containing milk for sale or delivery in the Milk District in a manner that any can is wholly or partly supported by or presses upon any can on a lower level unless the upper and lower cans are separated from each other by a decking of wood or by other hygienic material sufficient in all respects to prevent damage to either can by the other through impact, bumping or otherwise. The above resolution shall come into force on the 28th day of July. 1942. A copy of the above resolution may be inspected during office hours at the Office of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council, and printed copies may be obtained on payment of 3d per copy. NORMAN R.
