SOCCER CONTROL

TANK BRIGADE "CALLED UP" AGAKi The Football Association has invited the New Zealand Tank Brigade to play the Auckland Representative XI. at Blandford Park on August 18. When the soldiers responded to the first "call up" on May 30, they played an exciting four-goal draw with Air Force, and there was so much talent in the Tank side that an invitation to tackle the strong Auckland team depended only upon agreement on a date. Arrangements for this week are:— Metro-College v. North Shore, Blandford Park, 3 p.m.. Mr. A. E. Caisley; C.R.O. v. Naval Base, Blandford Park. 1.30 p.m., Mr. R. Lalley; Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys A v. Ponsonby. Fowlds Park, 3 p.m., Mr. V. Olney: Eastern Suburbs v. Comrades, St. Helier's Bay, 3 p.m., Mr. F. O. Green; Mount Albert B, a bye. Friendly game: Mount Albert B v. Air Force, Domain No. 2, 3 p.m.
