WOMEN JUSTICES

CITY'S SOCIAL WELFARE DEPUTATION TO MAYOR Matters affecting the social welfare of the city were discussed when a deputation of Auckland women justices waited upon the Mayor, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, to-day. The deputation, which consisted of the chairman of the Auckland Women's Justices of the Peace Committee. Mrs. T. Bloodworth, Mesdames S. E. Winks, H. Kasper, Miss M. A. Maindonald. and Madame A. Mllburn, was introduced by the Mayoress, Mrs. J. A. C. Allum. The proceedings were in committee. • After the deputation withdrew, the Mayor said that various matters had been discussed, and he had explained the steps being taken to ensure good conduct in Auckland.
