SABOTAGE IN FRANCE Railways And Military Supply Dumps Wrecked Rec. 11.30 a.m. LONDON, July 15. There has been a fresh wave of sabotage in France in the past few days which has alarmed me German authorities, says a Zurich message. A German military supply dump at Rouen was blown up. French railwaymen at Strasbourg damaged six locomotives. Four Government officials were killed when a bomb exploded at a labour recruiting office. Patriots destroyed a German military store in Paris, killing the sentries. Two German policemen were killed in a Paris street. It is estimated that 400 German soldiers have been killed or wounded in occupied France in the past three months. Sabotage in Belgium has also increased. The Burges-Ostend railway has been cut and two goods trains destroyed. A bomb wrecked a German mobile radio transmitter at Brussels and killed the staff. The Vichy Government has taken over the management of all Jewishcontrolled property, businesses, leases and other rights in the French colonies. Two women were killed and five others wounded when followers of Jacques Doriot, the French Fascist leader, fired on a crowd of 5000 which endeavoured to march in Marseilles in celebration of Bastille Day. Heavy guards prevented the march.
A crowd of 1000 at Lyons was also prevented from marching. Some shots were fired. At Vichy 300 marchers placed a wreath on the Third Republic monument, in spite of soldiers being stationed round it.
A Vichy report says uie German authorities in Paris have banned Jews from appearing in any public place, including even cinemas, markets and telephones boxes.
