DOMINION RUBBER YEAR
Reference to the occupation of its estate by Japanese troops is made in the annual report of the Dominion Rubber Company. Ltd., Dnnedin The accounts have been prepared on the basis of the last returns received from Malaya on October 31. 1941, and Malayan assets and liabilities are shown at book values on that date A remittance of practically all funds held at Singapore was received in New Zealand prior to November 30. Net profit calculated on the above basis is £2329, after making provision for taxation. An interim dividend of 6d a share (2' 2 per cent) was paid on September 8. 1941. leaving £2574 for appropriation. The directors recommend that no final dividend be paid, and that the balance in the profit and loss appropriation account be earned forward. Net profit for the vear ended November 30. 1940. was £3037 and "the year'* dividend was 6 per cent.
