THEFT OF COWS ALLEGED

(0.C.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. A charge of stealing two cows, the property of Christina Walters, of Springdale, and Philip Clemenger Trebilco, of Manawaru, was preferred against William Holdcroft, aged 42, farmer, of Tahuna, before Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court at Hamilton. Mr. Gillies said that the two cows mentioned in the charge* were col lected by drovers employed by the Piako Stock Drive Committee, in the , Aroha district.
