Increases In Australian Wages Rates OUTCOME OF WAR RISKS Rec. 10.30 CANBERRA, this day. The Maritime Industry Commission has granted a war risk bonus of 33 1-3 per cent on pay to all seamen serving on Australian merchant ships. After a seaman has served in any one ship or has been In the service of the same employer for six months continuously, the bonus will be Increased to 50 per cent. The 50 per cent rate will also be paid to any employee serving for three months or more whose service has been terminated for any reason other than misconduct. The extra rates do not apply to harbour or river craft.
