CLOTHING COUPONS CONTROLLER'S STATEMENT (P.A.) HASTINGS, this day. The M clothing coupons may be cut in half to overcome some of the difficulty being experienced by the public. The Dominion Rationing Controller, Mr. J. E. Thomas, made an announcement to this effect this morning. In order to overcome part of the difficulty experienced by consumers wltn fractional parts of coupons, said Mr. Thomas, it had been decided that clothing coupons M, the coupons which cover clothing, footwear and household linen, may be cut in half provided they are cut diagonally from corner to corner. Half a coupon is the smallest unit into which coupons may be cut.
