FIJI'S WAR EFFORT
INDIANS' CO-OPERATION MEETING WITH GOVERNOR (0.C.) SUVA, May 19. The Governor, Sir Harry Luke, convened a meeting of representative Indians in the Legislative Council Chamber, when a scheme to stimulate and co-ordinate the Indian war effort throughout the colony was outlined. The Governor suggested that a Central Indian Committee should be formed, and district and sub-district committees set up in the various Indian districts. Representatives from Suva. Rewa, Ra, Lautoka, Ba, Xadi and Nadroga attended.
