RESISTANCE GROWS

YUGOSLAVIAN FORCES

LONDON, May 31

Armed resistance throughout Yugoslavia is assuming ever-increasing proportions. An Italian colonel and 30 soldiers were killed and others wounded in recent fighting near Ljubljana. The Italians announced that their planes are bombing villages in the vicinity of Zara, on the Adriatic coast, as a reprisal for the killing of the Governor of the province with three of his officers while inspecting Italian garrisons in the interior of the country. A' communique issued at Zagreb by Pavelitch refers to pitched battles near the towns of Rogadiza and Sokolovac.
