NEW AIRFIELDS
Aid Distribution Of U.S. Planes Among Allies FIA' FIGHTKKH TO BRITAIN Rec. noon. XFAV YORK. May 20. New airfields built recently in Labrador, Greenland and Iceland will considerably help the distribution of American aircraft among the Allies this summer, says the New York Times military writer, Hanson Baldwin. These airfields will permit the flying of short-range fighters to Britain and fighters with a longer range, like the Bell Airacobra, when equipped with detachable auxiliary tank, will now be able to fly from American factories to Britain.
