PENSIONS
I would like a word to say about the 5 per cent increase in our war pension. The increase in waces is 10 per cent. Wo cot r ) per cent, and the same for the old aee folk: they get an increase of (; 2 each a month. What can they do with that? It is not the price of a bag of c.'al—when they can get it. Why are v.v always kept so short of nv>nev? If the war had noi been, our h'isbani!-. would be in good health to-day ami iv able to work for us and enjoy -ne 10 per cent increase to pav on the 10 per cent rise in prices." Let's hope our Government \\:il pr.v die extra increase our hove of lhis war a better deal. EP.
