PRICE LEVELS
Thanks to your witty correspondent, H. S. Winthrop, in his endeav•our to ameliorate the unhappy lot of the exploited worker with a little wholesome humour. With uncanny insight, he has discovered that our inefficient and wasteful methods of production, while ensuring the pro- , s the producer, create a price je\ el beyond the reach of the worker, io quote Mr. Winthrop, "The solution lies in reducing the price at a rC n » s h°P. a . n( i subsidising the seller. This is really priceless, as tne joke is still on the worker, but it is to be hoped he won t see it until he has been taxed to pav the subsidy. GEORGE BEER.
