MUSEUM CANDIDATES

Eight nominations have been received for the three seats on the council of the Auckland Institute and Museum to be filled by representatives of contributing local bodies. Nominations closed yesterdav and the election will be held on Friday June 12.

The naines of the candidates and the districts they represent are:— Messrs. C. H. K. Mountain (Newmarket), A. Murdoch (Otahuhu), S W. House (Manukau). A. W. Joughin (Devonport), Mrs. M. Newton (Onehunga), Messrs. C. M. McCullough (Mount Roskill), C. J. Mahon (Papatoetoe), and G. \\. Slane (Mount Eden). Messrs. House and Murdoch are sitting members.
