PEAK HOUR RESTRICTIONS
A statement indicating the drastic curtailment of transport services in find around the city which may be expected as part of the Domihionwide restrictions foreshadowed by the Transport Department for ihe purpose of meeting the serious drain on tyrt supplies, has been issued by tne Auckland No. 1 Licensing Authority, Mr. E. J. Phelan. New schedules ore to be prepared by operators of the various services, providing for immediate reductions of from 25 per cent to 33 1-3 per cent on week days and 75 per cent on Sundays. It is suggested that Women and children may be permitted to travel on buses only between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so as to relieve the traffic during peak hours.
