The early rapid progress was • maintained during the past fortnight, when the 1 drill penetrated a further 875 ft. i The New Zealand Petroleum Co.. Ltd.. reports • as follows:—"Devon No. 1 well, the drilling of which commenced on April 2n. 1942. h3s reached a deplh of 2845 ft. the strata penetrated bein? mudstone with streaks of hard sand." |
