TRANSPORT BOARD
EMPLOYEES' OPPORTUNITY A proposal made at the annual meeting of the Auckland Transport Board this morning, was that the board should invest £5000 in Liberty Bonds and allow the employees to purchase them by instalments. Mr. R. Armstrong asked if the employees would be "compelled to take them.
The secretary, Z\ri-. C. R. Gribble, replied in the negative and said that the bonds would be offered onlv.
On the motion of Mr. ,J. A. C. Allum it was decided to refer the matter to the secretary to take the necessary action.
