WATERS I IHOR'S OFFENCE A waterside worker. George Thorne. was fined £10 and costs by Mr. F. H. Levicn. S.M., m the Police Court to-day on a summons charge of failing to furnish a return of income for the year ended March .'sl. 19 11. Mr. G. S. It. Meredith, who appeared for t lie Commissioner of Taxes, said Thorne was a single man. No tax had been paid by him. There had been ample warnings, but apparently these had not brought him to a sense of his responsibilities.
