CAMBRIA AND LOVAALS WORK NICELY
An excellent mile by the Cornwall Handicap candidates, Cambria and Lovaals, was the feature of the work at Takanini this morning on the inside grass track, the pair completing their task in 1.15 after running their first three in :i.Ss and the first five furlongs in I.H. Gold Moncv Song and Arvakur were responsible for the best effort over live furlongs by running 1.3, the pair finishing on terms and both working well.
Borak and Cornish were associated over six furlongs in 1.17 1-5. Borak finishing well to score by a length. Another excellent. effort over this distance was recorded by Ascot Bloom and Golden Valley. which ran 1.17. the honours at the finish being a little with Ascot Bloom. '-Use also ran 1.17 from the mile post to the two furlongs post. Tellsom and Don Quex were sent a mile. Tellsom gaining an advantage which he maintained to the end in 1.4 C. Foxola. with the assistance of Water Vixen over the first six. ran a mile easilv in 1.48. Lapidarian was sent a mile and a half, his last mile taking 1.51. and he worked keenly. First Edition and Queen Citv were together at the end of five furlong's in 1.4 4-5. Miss Jose hit out well while recording 1.4 2-5.
