HOLIDAY MAILS

The King's Birthday, which is to be celebrated on Monday next,, June 1, will be'observed as a holiday by the postal branch of the Post and Telegraph Department. Mails usually dispatched after 7 a.m. on Mondays will etiil close at that hour, except those for southern offices for dispatch by* the Limited' express, which will close at the Chief Post Office at 4 p.m.

• A clearance of post offices and all Street receivers will be made on Sunday night. There will be no delivery by postmen on the Monday. Inland letter air mails will close at 6.30 a.m.

The Chief Telegraph Office will be open on Monday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
