PERSONAL
Mr. J. S. Milne arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. Mr. C. T. Halstead, manager in New Zealand for Cable and Wireless, Ltd., left for the south last night. Dr. L. H. Briggs, of Auckland, and Dr. L. I. Grange, of Wellington, have been elected Fellows of the Royal Society of New Zealand. Mr. S. J. Harbutt was re-elected chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board, and Mr. S. Irwin Crookes, deputy-chairmaifc at the annual meeting of the board yesterday. Appreciation of the services of both was expressed by members.
