NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED At the annual meeting of the Aucklanck Institute and Museum, which was held in the War Memorial Museum library last evening, Mr. A. H. Johnstone. K.C., was elected president for the ensuing year. Three vacancies on the council "were filled by the election of Messrs. A. T Pycroft. J. C. Entrican and Dr. H. a! Chatfiekl. P or his activities in the preservation and propagation of New Zealand flora. Mr. E. Earle Vaile was presented the Loder Cup by Mr. \V. A. Fairclough, the retiring president. After the meeting, a film and lantern slides were shown.
