C. S. Donald is at present leading trainer for the 1041-42 season with 17 wins. He is by no means secure in the position, however, as V. Alborn has 16 w ins, and Ashburton results may change the situation. Next on the list are F. J. Smith 14, M. Stewart 14, T. H. Gunning 13, J. B. Pringle 13, and R. Townley 13.
