INSIDIOUS ACTION
Yugoslav Guerilla Forces
Worry Axis
ITALIAN CONFESSION
Rec. 9.30 a.m
CAIRO, May 24.
Yugoslav sources state that the Germans have begun a full-scale offensive against General Mihailovich's guerilla forces. The Italians are co-operating with the Germans from the west. General Mihailovich, under the pressure of heavy air attacks, has been forced to retire to the mountains. The Italians frankly confess the troubles of their occupation forces in Yugoslavia, now the subject of an official report to Mussolini. One newspaper says the Italian communications in Yugsolavia during the winter were interrupted by the insidious action of Yugoslav guerillas. Italian planes had to go to the rescue by sending supplies to isolated garrisons by air.
