PILOT-OFFICER KILLED

According to advice received by Mr. D. F. Mackav, of Brightside Road, Epsom, his only son. PilotOfficer D. F. Mackay, was killed as a result of an aircraft accident in England on March 22. Aged 22. PilotOfficer Mackay left for England 10 months ago after gaining his wings in New Zealand. He was educated at King's College and employed in the Auckland branch of the Bank of New Zealand. He was a keen yachtsman, having sailed the yacht Miro in the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, and was a member of the Remuera Golf Club. Pilot-Officer Mackay was also in the second Rugby XV. at school.
