WOMAN REMANDED
MAGISTRATE REFUSES BAIL
Arrested by Detective-Sergeant W. Fell, a domestic named Ellen Goodwin, aged 47, appeared In the Police Court, before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., to-day, charged with unlawfully using an Instrument upon a woman with intent to procure a certain result on May 11. Mr. W. Noble appeared for accused and asked for bail, but DetectiveSergeant J. Trethewey, who applied for a remand until May 28, opposed the wanting of ball. The magistrate granted the remand but refused bail.
