TRUCK AND CART COLLIDE

A horse-drawn cart stacked with brewer s grain was being driven soutnward along Dominion Road by Mr. George Buckingham, an elderly farmer, of Richardson Road, when a truck driven by Clifford Eric Dawson, of Grafton Road, came into collision with it from behind. A shaft of the cart was broken and grain scattered over the road as the cart swung around. Fortunately, neither of the drivers was hurt. Slight damage was caused to the truck and a shaft of the cart was broken.
