The folder sets out clearly In tabulated form descriptions of the various war gases and their characteristic smells, such as garlic, pear drops. fl6or polish, or geranium, by which they can be recognised, and the effect of each gas on the human body. There are simple instructions for flrst aid treatment in each case, and a chart Intended for instruction of th* general public, as well as official use by members of the civil defence services.
