TO-MORROW'S SPORT
HOCKEY AT HOBSON PARK
The principal fixture in the second series of the Auckland Rugby League championship to-morrow is Richmond v. Manukau. The former was the winner two years ago, while Manukau was champion of champions in 1041. The curtain-raiser will be supplied by Ponsonby and City-Otahuhu. On No. 2 ground the opponents will be MaristShore and Newton-Mount Albert. The Rugby Union has set down for decision at Kden Park three of its first division games, the other having been allotted to Sturges Park, whither Manukau *ind Training College will journey. The engagements at headquarters are: Garrison v. M.T.P. (main match); C.R.O. v. Technical (curtain-raiser); and Air Force v. Grafton-Ponsonby, on No. 2 field at three o'clock. The Auckland Football Association has arranged another comprehensive programme, and a fresh start is being made for the championship. Two games will be played at Blandford Park—Metro v. C.R.O. (1.30) and North Shore v. Eastern Suburbs (3 p.m.) The other fixtures are:—Comrades v. Navy, Victoria Park; Ponsonby v. Mount Albert 13, Fowlris Park; Air Force v. Mount Albert A, Domain. in addition to four competition matches the Hockey Association has a special event at Hobson Park at 3 p.m., when past players will meet executive officers. Women's engagements for to-morrow are:— Senior.—Technical v. Mount Eden. No. 1. at 3 p.m., Hamill and Jensen: Wesley v. University, No. 1. at 1.45 p.m.. Dawson and Nicholson; I North Shore v. Training College, No. 4, at 3 p.m.. Ball and Twiname. Intermediate.—Wesley v. Training: College B, I No, 2. at 1.45 p.m., Hamlin and Jones: Y.W.C.A. I v. W.A.A.F.. No. 3, at 3 p.m., Dawson and Turner; Air Force v. Berlel, No. 2, at 3 p.m., Atkinson ani Jeflery; Training College A v. Technical, Gillies Avenue, at 3 p.m., Jackson and Raphael; University, a bye. Junior.—Wesley v. Training College, No. <. at 1.45 p.m.. Askew and R. McKenzie; Technical v. Y.W.C.A.. Amies Avenue, at 1.45 p.m.. Ruddell and A. McKenzie; Mount Albert v. Mount Edea, No. 3, at 1.45 p.m., Jensen and Corrlngham.
