Some Of Surplus
ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED
CANBERRA, May 20
The Minister of Commerce, Mr. W. J. Scully, announced in the House of Representatives that the Commonwealth had conferred with the New Zealand Government about supplies of wheat from Australia and satisfactory arrangements had been concluded.
Mr. Scully added that New Zealand's plan was to make herself as self-supporting as possible in this commodity. The Minister was replying to a member, who asked if negotiations had been opened with New Zealand for the purchase of some of Australia's surplus wheat
