TERRITORIAL PAY
Would you kindly publish answci _ to the following questions:—(l) Whs. are the rates of pay in the Tern torial Forces for a married man, his wife, one child (under 16)? (2) Tin number of medical grades and wha. they represent? INQUIRER.
The rate of pay in the Territorial Force is 7/ a day. In addition, the Government allots the wife 3/ a day, plus 1/ a day family allowance, also 1/6 a day for a child under 16 years of age. The medical grades are four m number, starting with fit men. If a soldier is graded IA, it indicates that he has to undergo another medical examination before being finally graded. In the Territorial ballot, grades 1 and 2 only are mobilised for camp, but grade 3 men may, subject to a medical report, be drafted for camp duties.—Ed.
