NAZIS CAPTURED
Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY, this day. The Army Minister, Mr. P. M. Forde, announced in the House of Representatives that the Government had suspended from duty the commandant at the internment camp, from which six German prisoners had escaped last week. All the escapees, he added, had now been recaptured. Mr. Forde explained that the Germans had been engaged in woodcutting in Goulburn Valley, Victoria. He emphasised the difficulty of guarding prisoners of war when employed outside their camps. The army was opposed to their employment outside the camps, which was likely to lead to a revision oft that policy.
