WOMEN'S COMMITTEE

YEAR'S WORK REVIEWED

That the total of 35.5-10 articles had been sent out from the work centre, an increase of 27.510 over last year, while £.'543 was raised for league funds and £1325 at the Victory Fair for the patriotic fund, was stated in the annual report presented at the annual meeting of the women's committee of the Navy League held yesterday.

The meeting was presided over by the chairman, Mrs. R. G. Coats. The sub-committees, with their conveners, who had contributed to this fine effort comprised:—Wool, Mrs. W. W. Morrah; welfare, Mrs. F. H. spinning, Mrs. B. L,. Orrsewing, Mrs. V. F. Usher; extra comforts. Mrs. C. Webber; books, Mrs. H. Tiarks. In addition, the packing circle, with Mrs. A. Eisdell Moore as convener, had packed 25,029 garments and 8211 patriotic parcels, and the entertainment sub-committee with Mrs. Claude White and Miss C Murray conveners, had raised £114 for Navy League funds.

It was announced at the meeting that the work centre was being moved to 33 Elliott Street, the premises having been loaned by Mr Marsden Caughey for the duration of the war.
