WAIKATO BOY SCOUTS

(0.C.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. The Dominion Commissioner of Scout Training, Mr. J. R. H. Cooksey. of Hastings, has just completed an inspection of Boy Scout units in the Waikato.

Mr. Cooksey said he found a great increase of interest in the movement. The boys had been given definite work to do in connection with the emergency precautions scheme, and this fact had resulted in increased membership and improved efficiency. Difficulty had been experienced in filling the places of leaders who had been called up for service with the army, but older men who had seen service were now coming forward.
