TERRITORIAL KILLED

THROWN FROM MOTOR CYCLE

(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday.

A Territorial. Driver Albert William Blackwood, aged 19, of Caversham, Dunedin, suffered fatal injuries when riding a motor cycle on the main Akaroa Road this morning. Driver Blackwood was thrown from the motor cycle at a sharp bend about a mile and a half on the Christchurch side of Akaroa. The machine apparently got out of control in loose shingle and he was thrown over a bank into a paddock. He died within a few minutes.

Another member of the convov met with an accident at the same point, but his injuries \vers» not serious. He was admitted to a military hospital.
