PETROL RATION.
REQUEST BT EHPIOirSS. PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. A meeting of 120 employees of the motor trade in the Manawatu district carried a resolution to-night asking the Government to grant an increased petrol ration to prevent increasing unemployment. While agreeing that some measure for the conservation of supplies was necessary the meeting expressed the opinion that the existing restrictions were not warranted.— (Press Assn.)
