FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE.

May I add a word to this correspondence concerning Florence Nightingale? It has been said that she was an unbeliever. This is difficult to credit when it is remembered that her companions in the noble work of nursing British soldiers in the Crimean War were Roman Catholic Sisters of Mercy.. It is unlikely that the Sisters would have consented to foe led by a woman who did not believe in God. G.CJ.
